Appearance: Basically looks as if a Cheetah has been poured into a rough
human form. She is still completely covered by the usual cheetah fur, with its characteristic
single spots and the white fur on the belly and the inside of the legs and
arms. Her head and face are a mix of human and cheetah features too. She has
slitted brown eyes, and sharp pointy teeth. Although she walks with a bipedal
stance she does have a slight crouch to her walk, as if she could start running
on all fours at any time. This also makes her look slightly shorter than her
true six feet height. Being true to her Cheetah ancestry, she is athletic to
the point of looking emanciated. Because of her fur this is not per se
immediately visible. What is clearly visible is that she has four small
breasts. She also has a three foot long tail, which is not really prehensile
(Cheetah`s tails are heavy and act more like stabilizers when running, and are
a bit stiff).
When she is not wearing her spacesuit or a body armor she tends to wear as
little as she can get away with. This is mostly because she feels that she is
sufficiently dressed wearing her fur. It also helps that, having lost her
memories, she has no real idea about nudity taboos... When she does wear
clothes they tend to be thin but good looking and *expensive* things specially
tailored for her (in part to accommodate for her tail.)

Background:
Nellie Koopman(pronounced: Nehl-li Koohp-mahn) has no idea where she came from. She awoke from a coldsleep
capsule onboard a NAFAL (Not As Fast As Light) ship, to find that her memory had been damaged. Although her
ticket stated her name, point of departure, destination, and her profession,
there was no other information to be found. Apparently she was a fighterpilot
who had left a warzone two hundred years earlier on a NAFAL ticket to Phase
World. Why, she had no idea. With the little money that she had left she tried
to have a search conducted for extra information, only to find that the planet
from which she had boarded had been destroyed less than a dozen years ago in a
fight between the CAF and a Dominator.
So there she was, stranded on Phaseworld. Fortunately, although she had lost
many memories, she had lost none of her skills, even though these sometimes
needed a nudge to come to the surface. She was able to talk her way into a
small band of mercenaries that needed a pilot for a incursion into TGE space.
With her natural abilities, reflexes, and her resurfacing piloting skills, she
had few problems on the mission that followed. Since that time she has worked as a freelance
hotshot pilot, with her home in the city of Center on Phase World. She has
specialized in missions into TGE territory, and has had a fair amount of
missions into the TGE. During one such mission she saved the life of a Promethean
named Aruus M`Daar, and as thanks he gave her a Phase Sword, which is currently
one of her most prized possessions. Nellie has done several missions for the
FWC, and has actually flown the Mosquito fast fighter. She has a wide range of
experience in flying fighters, and is qualified for all current CAF fighters,
the CAF combat shuttle, several light starships and the Flying Fang fighter.
Although many of her employers and friends complain that she tends to be lazy,
none can complain about her piloting skills. And that, as she herself says,
“That is what they hire me for!”
When not on missions Nellie tends to live in the city of Center, where she
rents a small apartment on level six. The price is reasonable, and the entire apartment
has a surface of about 400 square foot. It includes a separate small kitchen, a
shower, and a toilet, so she does not have to use one of the public bathing
houses, or be dependant on restaurants and fastfood hovels for food. Stored in
her apartment are her clothes, equipment and various other possessions.
Although it is a nice enough place she does not stay there much, because she
prefers to hang out in some of the bars in Spacetown on level 2. There she is
always on the lookout for others like her, information about her homeworld, and
(off course) for more work. Currently she is saving most of her money in order to
be able to hire a detective agency to find out more information about her past.
Note: Although she is lazy when it comes to any work but flying various craft, she does look out fairly well for her own health. In addition to working out and running, she also cooks most of her own meals, and is quite good at this. Her cooking is limited in the respect that she is actually a carnivore, so she tends to do mostly meat dishes.
Note: It has never occurred to her, or anyone that she has met, but if
she should ever ask, Naruni Enterprises actually DOES know exactly who she is,
and where she came from! She comes from the “After The Bomb” Universe, where
she was born in the South Africa Region. She was a pilot for the military of
the slowly reforming state of Greater South Africa. One day she was chasing a
UFO which had entered GSA airspace, and actually managed to hit it several
times with her weaponry. The UFO was actually a Naruni spaceship, and the
captain of the ship was sufficiently impressed by this feat that he ordered her
to be taken onboard. He recognized real talent when he saw it, and forcing her
to work for Naruni Enterprises was a nice way to work of her debt to them (for
damaging the spaceship…). She was brought to the Three Galaxies and worked for
NE in many jobs. Although she had long since repaid her debt, NE never informed
her of this, and she became very resentful of her forced labor. One day, in the
middle of a war, she took a chance, and got onto a NAFAL ship that would take
her to Phaseworld, where she hoped she would be able to go home, away from NE.
When she awoke a fault in the freezing procedure had damaged part of her brain,
locking away most of her memories.
Naruni Industries is aware of her presence on Phase World, but since her
original debt to them has long since been paid, they have not contacted her, or
tried to get her back. When pressed they might give up information, but not too
much at any one time. Nellie has become well aware of the economics of the
Three Galaxies, and if she finds out how long exactly she has worked for NE before
she got away from them, she might realize that they owe HER money, instead of
the other way around! As it is she is unaware of her link with NE, and NE is
perfectly happy to keep it that way.
